Initium DBC have completed a complete refurbishment of the 6,308 sq ft 2nd floor at 150 Minories in the City of London.

The comprehensive rebuild of the workspace for. Business Environment from the previous floorplate took less than 8 weeks from start to completion. Included in the process was building a highly secure data comms room, full IT & Telecoms cabling and network infrastructure. The project was taken through to presenting the client with a completely finished and furnished workspace ready for immediate use.

Business Environment has announced that Initium DBC Ltd have completed the successful refurbishment of the lifts at its busy award winning serviced offices at 500 Avebury Boulevard.

The main benefit of this work has be an improved performance from the 2 lifts that will make them far more efficient in the future. It will also improve their reliability and give the many clients in the centre a far more consistent service. To minimise the impact of this major work each lift was completed separately to ensure access was not compromised. This has required a longer period for the work to be carried out.

Initium appointed lift contractor Jackson Lift Group to complete the work, with minimal disruption to customer service at the location.”

Initium Awarded Major Investment Project By UK Serviced Office Operator

Serviced office operator Business Environment has instructed Initium DBC Ltd to project manage a £1.5m investment to transform the air-conditioning system at one of its key UK business centres. The move is part of the company’s ‘green’ strategy to deliver maximum energy-efficiency across the business.

The VRV® (Variable Refrigerant Volume) System, which will be installed at the Milton Keynes centre during 2012 provides the latest state-of-the-art technology.

It works by recycling unwanted heat, so that different rooms within one building can benefit from varying temperatures. Whilst one room is ‘cooling’, the rejected heat can be transferred to another that requires ‘heating’.

Andrew Emden, Director at Initium, said: “This significant project is time critical to our client and is a major investment as part of their ongoing commitment to reduce carbon emissions and help fight climate change.”

“Not only will the air-conditioning system provide greater energy efficiency for the company, but it will grant improved comfort for their clients who demand the perfect office environment to get the most out of their working day.”

The ‘green’ investment is certainly not the first for the this client, a serviced office operator, who has also installed with the help of Initium, sensitive lighting, waste recycling schemes and power saving plant across their 18 operational centres in the South of England.

Initium Deliver A Total Building Transformation In The City

Initium have delivered an innovative design and build project for a London property developer at 2 finch Lane. A four floor building, the key aspect of this exciting project has been maintaining the period features of the detailed exterior and interior space.

The end result I believe is a real transformation that showcases the details in the space. We have even refurbished the beautiful iron doors on the main entrance with new chrome and detail finishes. As a considerate Contractor the scale of the building works has meant a great deal of careful planning to deliver this 4 floor transformation ahead of the planned schedule. We have even re-instated the flag poles seen in a number of old images of the street”.

The exterior of this period building has been cleaned and fitted with new sympathetic windows and doors to enhance and maintain the original character of the building and improve its efficiency at the same time.
